Marketing Manager for Inc Sport

The position of Marketing Manager involves leading the digital business Brand function. The primary objective of the role and the department is to safeguard and grow the brands within Inc & Co Group, overseeing it in all companies within the group’s structure and ensuring 100% consistency. Working with the rest of the leadership team to ensure that all actions and communications are in line with each Brand’s strategy.

The role requires leading the conversation and coordination with all of the group’s agency departments, as well as liaising with 3rd party providers. You will be managing a smaller marketing team, amongst them a Marketing Manager, Graphic Designer and a Social Media & Content Executive.

Providing strategic reporting, analysis and insight on the above is essential, as well as guiding the day to day communications and PR for each brand.

We are sports-focused digital innovation and data analysis businesses and therefore you must have previous experience of working in this sector and a role in marketing for a digital agency, data analysis or in software development. This is a key role within our Inc & Co Sport division and you will be working closely with the senior team from multiple sport-related organisations within the Group.

This is an exciting, varied and fast-paced role that requires focus, tenacity and the ability to deliver. You will create high-quality partnerships and sales leads, convert prospects into clients, manage the sales process and achieve sales targets. You will own and manage the sales strategy, the sales process, the CRM system and the sales tracking and reporting. You will also create new business proposals and presentations, issuing our standard contract for all new clients. This role requires the ability to network and create opportunities by building strong personal relationships with partners and prospects. You will sell digital strategy, solutions, websites and applications to prospective clients through technical knowledge, expertise and passion. Having defined their requirements, you will explain and demonstrate why Inc & Co is the right long-term partner for them.

You will work closely with the Heads of Businesses at multiple Inc and Co Sport related businesses, such as Skylab and Insight Analysis, who you will collaborate with and develop opportunities for you to deliver. It’s important that you have genuine knowledge, understanding and passion for sport, digital, data analysis and software development. You will need an open attitude towards constantly learning about the latest developments in digital strategy, websites and applications, in order to apply the learning and evolve the marketing strategy.

Job requirements

  • Working on overall marketing strategies for the Inc Sport division and the businesses within it
  • Execute some of the marketing activities such as content and social.
  • Working with the heads of businesses to support a marketing plan and execution
  • Ensuring that each member of each team understands the importance of brand and adheres to the appropriate standards at all times.
  • Liaising with 3rd party providers to ensure that services and products provided enhance each brand within the group.
  • Collaborating with the various departments to feedback on collateral and content produced to ensure consistency throughout.
  • Strategic input into the pitch team to ensure potential and existing clients understand every brand and what it can bring to the table.
  • Working to identify trends and commercial opportunities that lead to sales conversion.
  • Working with the head of businesses to create ideas that engage relevant audiences throughout their journey in the sales funnel.
  • Identifying opportunities for sales leads across various channels and relevant markets.
  • Tracking performance and providing monthly metric reports.
  • Supporting the sales team with marketing collateral and messaging.
  • Developing strategic recommendations and implement plans for new business
  • Build and develop the digital marketing strategy for the division through to implementation, ensuring an optimised online presence. With a focus on website management, lead generation and supporting channel activity.

Candidate Requirements

  • Organised with attention to detail
  • Fluent in English both spoken & written
  • Educated to degree level, preferably marketing communications
  • Experience working with a brand or marketing/digital agency
  • Experience managing a smaller team
  • Ambitious and self-starter
  • Able to work independently and use creative thinking to solve problems
  • Excellent communicator both with internal and external stakeholders
