ABOUT DAN

Dan is the Group Retail Managing Director and is responsible for all of our retail and ecommerce brands within the group. This includes KNOMO London, Maker&Son, GUT Instinct, Tootsa and King Street Grooming. As Group MD for retail, Dan supports all the heads of business, with operational and financial direction, along with supplier relations, whilst always looking for new acquisitions. He also sits on the Senior Leadership Team within Inc & Co, providing strategic support and direction for the wider group business.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Dan’s background consists of Retail, Franchise and Wholesale experience across E-Commerce and bricks and mortar. The majority of his career has been spent in apparel. Starting his career at NEXT, he has held senior positions with GANT, Tommy Hilfiger, where he was successful in transforming their wholesale models into customer engaging owned retail across major department stores. He has also held a number of consultant roles, managing change with the likes of Molton Brown and Pandora, both with success in reviewing real estate operations.

Wanting to progress further into real estate, he Joined intu shopping centres, heading up Retail Innovation, where he was responsible for development of its own brand , whilst creating incubators for local independent retail/ leisure / workplace and F&B long before the demise of House of Fraser, Debenhams etc…

This is what attracted him to Inc & Co. Dan created the retail group with a vision to have a mixture of high street brands, that could sit thrive in their own space, but also allowing the development of his vision to create and repurpose redundant retail space, such has department stores into a “ Campus” where you can work, play and relax / socialise.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR ROLE?

The most enjoyable part of Inc & Co is the endless opportunities for brand creation, moving at pace, not having the bureaucracy of a PLC and finally the people.
